However, there are some foods for eye care that can be included in our diet chart. Consumption of such foods can increase the eyesight and keep good care of our eyes.
Carrot
It is a common vegetable eaten in abundance during winters. Consumption of carrots is considered beneficial for increasing eyesight. Actually, vitamin-A and D are found in plenty in it, due to which it helps in eye care. Therefore, having carrots may increase eyesight.
Capsicum
Vitamin A-B6, C, folic acid, thiamin and beta-carotene are found in capsicum. This vegetable contains 94 per cent water. All these nutrients work to increase the power of the eyes and give them strength. That's why capsicum should be consumed in some or the other way.
Citrus Fruits
Vitamin-C is found in abundance in citrus fruits like lemon, orange, tangerine, sweet lime and amla. This vitamin strengthens the body's immunity. Consumption of these fruits also increases eyesight and ends up blurring vision. Therefore these sour fruits should be consumed at least twice a week.
Colocasia
Colocasia has vitamin-A in abundance in it. This is the most responsible vitamin for eyesight. When there is a deficiency of vitamin A in the body, the vision reduces to a great extent. By eating colocasia, this vitamin is supplied in the body, due to which eye problems can be avoided.
Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes are rich in several important eye nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, and lutein. Replacing sweet varieties with white potatoes not only reduces the blood sugar load, but is also good for eyesight.
