Acupuncture Benefits

Acupuncture is a type of alternative therapy and a part of traditional Chinese medicine in which very fine and thin needles are inserted into the body. Acupuncture as it is believed originated in China around 100 BC. It is based on the belief system that there is Qi (vital energy) flowing in the channels or meridians in the human body. Energy has two aspects, Yin and Yang, and every disease is classified into Yin type and Yang type of diseases, stimulating specific points in the body balances these energies, and hence makes a person disease free.

Acupuncture should be integrated into the healthcare system, as it can treat a variety of conditions that are scientifically proven. Cosmetic acupuncture is a branch or extension of acupuncture treatment, research, and studies have suggested that acupuncture works better than botox. Cosmetic acupuncture, in which tiny needles are inserted into the face activates the lymphatic and circulatory systems. It reduces wrinkles, fine lines, and dark circles under the eyes. We call it the acu-glow treatment as it gives you glowing skin, and has age-defying functions. Acupuncture can also treat your emotional aspects, if you are having issues with anger, frustration, and irritability or you are a chronic worrier and overthinker, look for acupuncture to break the pattern of the emotional cycle. Tremors in Parkinson’s, chorea, and dystonia can be controlled with it as well. Speech disorders either due to stroke or any other reason can be cured by acupuncture. Even labour pain can be induced through it. Trigeminal neuralgia, facial paralysis, or Bell’s palsy can be treated with it along with eye or vision problems.
