Nurturing Compassion: Building Stronger Connections In A Chaotic World

Compassion is not something to learn, it exists in every human being. The root of all the problems in the world is that we are disconnected from existence. “When I look at someone's skin - it can be darker or fairer than others, but when I go beyond the skin, the colour of our sweat, tears and blood is identical. This represents oneness. Through the inner journey we are awakening the highest within ourselves,” said Sister Jayanti, Additional Administrative Head of The Brahma Kumaris.

First world countries are particularly struggling with various crises including political, economic, social etc. On the other hand, India is moving ahead of countries like the UK in terms of economic properties, GDP is moving. It is because India still has the root of spirituality. The volatile markets, the difficulties of dealing with diversities, and the volatile political situation indicate uncertainty. Long term plans no longer exist. People are questioning tomorrow's certainty.

Sister Jayanti further added that, the journey of spirituality should not be delayed. One must consider that he/she is a spiritual being and every aspect of life is enhanced with spirituality. People are trying to buy love, signing treaties to attain peace, spending mindlessly to seek happiness only to discover that these qualities exist within, instead of finding them in an outer materialistic world is what she also feels.

"The joy within us must outflow to make the world a better place. And one should remain unaffected from the miseries of the outer world" she added.

Experts at the BW Wellbeing World of BW Buisnessworld's - “The Festival of Spirituality” dwelled into the discourse about incorporating spirituality to enhance human well-being. There's a consensus that the world is a chaotic world with constant crisis. Moreover, the world is going through a permanent crisis.

Sister Jayanti concluded with sharing her vision for a better world, relationships in a better world and ourselves in a better world. “We have a mutual goal of leading the world to a better place. The vision of a better world can be summarised in five aspects, world of peace, world of love, world of truth, world of joy and world of purity where purity means cleanliness of heart, spirit and environment," she signed off.
