He is the pioneer of interventions through hand in the whole of North India. Complex angioplasties, peripheral angioplasties, Intra-abdominal procedures through hand are his forte. He has performed more than 15,000 coronary angiograms and 7,000 coronary angioplasties (5000 through hand). He is vastly experienced in simple and complex pacemaker implantations, management of structural heart disease, balloon valvotomies, peripheral interventions etc.
High blood pressure or more specifically hypertension, is a menace to a middle-aged and elderly population. Nowadays, stress related to work, smoking, uninhibited alcohol consumption, irregular sleeping patterns are very well correlated with increased blood pressure. High sodium intake in the diet is also a notorious factor leading to hypertension. Recently, the American Society of Nephrology has raised concern over low potassium intake in the diet as an inciting factor for hypertension.
