6 Out Of 10 People Suffer Brain Fog After Covid: Report

The rising cases of covid-19 has again increased the concern of Indians. Not only the cases of infection, there have been cases of the long covid too. Apart from that, a report published in a British newspaper said, 6 out of 10 people, especially the youth, suffer from brain fog on a daily basis. In this, symptoms like not being able to focus, being confused and thinking slowly or negative thoughts disturb them. It has been told in the report that the covid can be a major reason behind this.

The report of food supplements firm Future You, Cambridge stated that due to covid, people had problems of high level of depression, stress and anxiety. Because of this, about 36 million people felt the problem of forgetting and not being able to focus, which are symptoms of brain fog disease. More than half of Britishers say their memory has worsened in the past two years.

Molecular Biologist of Future You, Dr Ferrer said, ''Most of us have faced high level of stress in the last two years due to covid. Apart from worrying about our health and that of our family, we were also troubled by the tension of job or work. Because of this, stress and depression happened and till now people are in its grip."

According to experts, the hormone cortisol increases due to stress, due to which the problem of poor mental health starts increasing. Dr Ferrer further said that if this problem is not controlled, it can also lead to brain fog. On the other hand, Dr Luca, another expert, said that chronic stress is more than the daily cortisol level, but it is not necessary that every person behaves in the same way during stress.

During the covid pandemic, the Center for Mental Health Charity estimated that around 10 million Britishers would need mental health support. Dr Ferrer said that if one wants to boost memory, then you should always eat healthy food. Along with keep distance from alcohol and make a habit of getting full sleep.
