Debunking Myths About Diabetic Reversal

Diabetes reversal is often clouded by false beliefs, making it hard to separate fact from fiction

As interest in natural and lifestyle-based approaches grows, addressing these misunderstandings is crucial. Let’s clean the air around some common myths to make the reversal process easy.

Myth 1

Diabetes goes only with death; one can never become free!

Truth 1

People with diabetes can achieve permanent freedom from insulin and medications. Both international and national research supports this possibility.

Freedom from Diabetes has used its four key protocols with proven results. Over 16,000 people have reduced their reliance on insulin and medication, and that number keeps growing.

Myth 2

Diabetes is hereditary!

Truth 2

This is partly true. Type 2 diabetes has a genetic component, but genes activate only with poor diet, lifestyle, and stress. Adjusting these factors can deactivate them.

Myth 3

If medicines or insulin control your sugars, there is no need to maintain your diet.

Truth 3

This is completely incorrect! Medications and insulin often come with side effects. They manage symptoms without addressing the underlying issue. As a result, more sugar and fat can accumulate in stressed cells, worsening the problem.

FFD has helped many people reduce or eliminate their medication use, thereby avoiding side effects.

Myth  4

Diabetics need morning tea without sugar and two biscuits, plus one glass of milk at night.

Truth 4

Again, completely wrong!

Tea and biscuits both contain milk, which has Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF) that hinders insulin receptors for 48-72 hours.

This interference prevents insulin from functioning effectively, leading to elevated blood sugar levels. Moreover, the acidity in tea, milk, and biscuits contributes to inflammation, further disrupting insulin's role. FFD advises avoiding milk and dairy during the initial phase of reversal, a strategy that has led to lasting success for many.

Myth 5

Diabetes-related complications such as eye, kidney, nerve damage, high blood pressure, heart disease, fatty liver, and obesity are challenging to reverse.

Truth 5

Hundreds have already reversed them with the FFD program.  Please visit the Freedom Stories section on our website.

Myth 6

Diabetics should eat every two hours and avoid fasting.

Truth 6

Partially true! Eating small meals every two hours helps control blood sugar, but it also leads to frequent insulin spikes. To lower insulin levels, it’s important to reduce how often you eat.

FFD suggests a scientific fasting method that has worked well for many doctors and patients.

Myth 7

HbA1c is the most important test for diabetics.

Truth 7

Again partially true!

HbA1c measures the average blood sugar level over three months, making it essential. Ideally, it should be below 5.7. An HbA1c below 7 indicates reasonable control of diabetes.

However, some tests are even more important than HbA1c:

  • Fasting Insulin (should be between 2.6 and 4)

  • 2. HsCRP (should be below 1). This indicates inflammation in the body.

These tests show insulin resistance, which is more important than just monitoring sugar levels with HbA1c. Knowing your level of insulin resistance is essential for choosing the best diabetes management strategy.

To Conclude

Clearing up diabetes myths helps set realistic goals. With this clarity, you can commit to the lifestyle changes needed for reversal. Many have achieved success with dedication. Stay informed, consult experts, and keep a positive attitude for meaningful progress.
