In the last few years, the trend of people working for more than one company has increased. For this, they are ready to work up to 14 hours a day, but experts believe that doing so can spoil people's mental health.
Since the covid epidemic, the trend of moonlighting has increased among many people. During covid, people opted moonlighting due to bad economic conditions and cut in salary, as per experts.
A study was done regarding long-term work and its effect on the body, in which it has been found that working for more than 11 hours a day compared to normal workers.
Such people also have problems related to sleep. They also have to face the problem of insomnia and sleep cycle disturbance. Due to lack of sleep, a person is unable to work properly throughout the day. One starts feeling headache and irritability. Lack of sleep also affects immunity. Due to this, the immunity of our body also starts decreasing. Apart from this, there is a problem of neck, back or chest pain along with muscle pain.
Mental health starts deteriorating due to depression, which has a direct effect on our physical health as well. In such a situation, many types of diseases have to be faced. At the same time, due to lack of sleep, stroke, heart disease, type 2 diabetes and nervousness start to happen. If the sleep pattern is continuously deteriorating and sleep is not complete, then within a few months the body can become home to diseases. That's why people are advised to set their working hours.
However, moonlighting can bring better earnings, but can lead to a better mental health.
