Self Can only Be Found With In

Sleep, wake up, work, repeat. This is what most of our lives look like. Success or work being the main variables, the routine remains the same.

Somewhere in all of this, we lose our selves. Our self-worth and the importance of investing in the most important person in, “our self”, goes out of the window. We end up focusing on anchors outside of ourselves to find meaning and worth.

Self-worth, self-respect and self-love, all begin with “the self”. They can only be found within, not be found outside somewhere.

There’s more to life than that drudgery of that monotonous routine. Living on autopilot.

How can you make sure you’re exercising self-worth?
You have to understand exactly how valuable you are to break the cycle. And to do that you have to practice self-care.

Invest in your self and Practice self-care. Here’s how.

1.  Marry joy
Unearth things that intrinsically bring you happiness and commit to that joy. Aligning your goals with your core values can inspire good habits and productive practices.

2.  Love yourself first
Remind yourself of your strengths daily, limiting comparisons to other people, figuring out what you truly value and living a life aligned with that. perish thoughts of defeat

3  Don’t be afraid to speak your mind
Tap into your many voices to express what’s important to you: your passions, the values you believe in, your feelings, your aspirations. When we go against our grain, internal strife strikes.

4  Be you
Be true to yourself. Authenticity is your greatest asset. Never emulate others. Learn from others but package those lessons in your own suit. Enjoy your tailor-made suite, that only fits you.

5 Don't fear change
On the other side of fear lies your freedom. Learn to adapt to change. Each time fear grips you, take a moment to celebrate changes that you successfully adapted to.

6  Seek equanimity
Find that inner calm and surround yourself with things that remind you of it. Carry it to work too. Place positive images or things around yourself to ensure a hit of positive emotion. It could be a photo frame, or quotes on your pin-up board or just a crystal to take you back to your zen place.

7. Don't forget to pause
Whatever your beliefs might be, stop, listen and seek some sort of connection. Identify or create meditations that help you regroup and take a step back. When there is dissonance we lose our centre, which affects our sense of self.

Understanding and investing in your worth of self can lead to lifelong happiness.
