A recent study on women's wellbeing has found that levels of stress, anxiety, concern, sadness and anger among women globally were at a 10-year high in 2021 post-pandemic.
As per the Hologic Global Women’s Health Index, that conducts a yearly survey to provide timely, worldwide comprehensive data from women's viewpoints on their health and wellbeing, worry, stress and anger levels among women increased by 3 per cent, while sadness hiked by 6 per cent in 2021 as compared to 2020. The statistics are all record highs since the Hologic Global Women’s Health Index began tracking emotional health almost a decade ago.
The survey that was carried on among 66,000 women from 122 countries also found that 43 per cent of respondents said they face some kind of worry in 2021, 41 per cent reported feeling stressed, 32 per cent feel sad, and 26 per cent reported feeling angry.
The gender gap in emotional wellbeing among people has likewise broadened in no less than a year, as 39 per cent of men report feeling stressed, 39 per cent worried, 26 per cent upset, and 21 per cent angry.
