These Habits Will Improve Mental Health, Apply On Daily Life

Mental health means our emotional, psychological and social health. What we think, what we feel and how we behave, it all comes within our mental health. If we are not mentally fit, then it will affect our work and relationships. But unfortunately, we do not consider it necessary to pay attention to mental health.

There are some mini habits that if included in our daily life, then it may make us stress-free and keep our mental health good.

Bring friends closer

Spend time with your friends, ans it is not good to depend on your phone for this. Although this had been a compulsion in lockdown, but in the remaining time it is better to meet and spend time together than text message or call. Spending time with friends has a positive effect on your mental health.

Proper sleep cycle

Getting enough sleep is not only necessary for the health of our body but also for mental health. The quality of your sleep also matters. Frequent sleep disturbances can help in spoiling mental health.

Be sensitive to yourself

Would you treat someone else the way you would treat yourself? Don't blame yourself for being sad or angry, treat yourself with love. Do something of your choice for at least 15-20 minutes every day. Self care doesn't just mean going on vacation or spending time with friends. Taking time for yourself is also a part of self care.

Exercising

Exercise helps you to relieve stress, improve mood, fall asleep faster and sleep longer. It also controls depression and anxiety. It doesn't just mean going to the gym. Instead, give preference to body movement and stretching, and choose a physical activity that is good for your body and health.

Dring herbal tea

Avoid excessive consumption of caffeine as it causes cortisol spike which can make you feel more anxious. Instead, drink herbal teas like brahmi, chamomile, rose, hibiscus, lemon balm, mint, fennel, rose, etc.

Stay away from gadgets and make a bedtime schedule

Make sure you stay away from all gadgets 1 hour after waking up in the morning and 1 hour before sleeping. Try to sleep before 10 pm. Sleep at the same time every day, this will improve the quality of your sleep which helps a lot in improving mental health.
