Trijog – Know your mind, started in 2015 with the aim of taking mental health to the world in a unique manner, and has now grown six times in the past three years. Today it has 30 people working in it. From 20 clients it has now grown to having serviced around 4000.
College students spend a tremendous amount of time and energy on their college projects. However, only some of them are successful in putting these project ideas to good use, Arushi Sethi is one among them. By converting her college project into a startup, Sethi has gradually made her way into the list of successful entrepreneurs in India.
Initially, however, Sethi had no plans of converting her college project into a startup. It was a traumatic experience, which she had while she was stuck in the Nepal Earthquake that inspired her to actively do something in the mental health sector. She got the encouragement from her mother & partner Anureet Sethi who is a renowned psychologist in the field. Speaking about the birth of this startup she said, “I believe that this is my second life and if I got one more chance, then it should be a step in the direction of bringing better change. My mother has always envisioned making India a mentally healthy nation and this gave birth to Trijog.”
However, Sethi had to face a lot of challenges in her journey of establishing a startup in the mental health sector. “Raising awareness and instilling acceptance by showing the industry as a positive one was a major challenge because it’s been portrayed as a negative industry,” she said.
Furthermore, she mentions that autism amongst children and stress, anxiety and depression amongst adults are the major problems which trouble people in the age bracket of 20-45 years. Addressing these issues, Sethi said, “There is a need for us to move from illness to wellness. Along with curing these diseases from the root, there is also a need to prevent these diseases.”
Working with the motto of preventing and curing mental health diseases, Trijog has organised various campaigns and projects across Mumbai. The activities at Trijog are classified into four divisions, on-ground (catering to individuals and done through phone, video and in-person) corporate wing (collaborating with businesses firms to provide Mental health care services), media wing (organising campaigns once a year), and school wing (instilling mental health services in schools).
Talking about the marketing of Trijog, Sethi said, “We need to stop targeting depression as something that is depressive, so, the marketing has to become positive. For example, we need to release nationwide campaigns once a year, efforts should be put into digital marketing and on-ground marketing also needs to happen.”
She also mentions what we must stay tuned for :
