What Food One Must Eat For Better Mental Health

Physical and mental health are linked to each other. Since covid 19 pandemic, the problems related to mental health have increased, like symptoms of depression, anxiety etc are being seen more in people. It is also true that our mental health depends on what we eat. So here are some nutrient food items that makes better mental health.

Fruits and Vegetables

To keep the brain healthy, fruits and vegetables should be consumed because they contain abundance of antioxidants in them. Therefore, they prove to be effective in keeping the state of mind in balance. One should consume pink and red colored fruits and vegetables the most. Watermelon and tomatoes can also be included in the diet.

Herbal Tea

Consumption of herbal tea is considered very beneficial for keeping the mind healthy. Nutrients that nourishes the brain are found in herbal tea. A herbal tea made out of celery, cinnamon, black pepper, basil and cloves can help in keeping the mind fit and healthy.

Nuts

Experts believe that consuming nuts daily keeps the brain healthy. For this, one must include walnuts, almonds, raisins, etc in their diet. By consuming walnuts, the intellectual development of a person also becomes rapid.

Water

Water is the key ingredient to cure every illness. Therefore, for a good mental health one must drink plenty of water everyday. Water is required to build neurotransmitters, the chemicals that transfer signals between brain cells and hormones that control the processes of the body and brain. Even mild dehydration can make you irritable and affect mental performance.
