Psychological evaluation and psychiatric assessment revealed that all survivors displayed feelings of loneliness, helplessness, rejection and social anxiety. 87.3% of the survivors were diagnosed with dysthymia and 12.7% with depression, a significantly high figure when compared to the general population diagnosed with depression (1.8%).
