"Ayurveda Relies On Thorough Patient Assessment" - Dr. Naveen Arya

1. Please share with us how Ayurveda Yogashram has grown over the years, resting on the foundation of legacy, the power of Ayurveda, and customer trust?

Ayurveda Yogashram was established in 1996 under the proprietorship of Dr. Anju Arya and me. We started by creating the first Ayurveda website in our region, www.ayurvedayogashram.com. In 2013, we transformed into a private limited company called Ayurveda Yogashram Remedies Private Limited, further solidifying our commitment to quality products and services.

Our focus has always been on the well-being of our patients, driven by our background as doctors. We prioritize the quality of our offerings over business gimmicks. Our aim is to serve humanity by providing world-class products. Today, we have a portfolio of 104 Ayurveda products, including herbal extracts, minerals, classical remedies, and even gold-based products. Our goal is to maximize the benefits and results for our patients while building trust and retaining our loyal customer base, which constitutes 60 per cent of our revenue.

2. Could you provide us with more details about the products and services offered by Ayurveda Yogashram?

Certainly. Ayurveda Yogashram deals with a wide range of Ayurvedic products catering to all kinds of chronic disorders. Whether it's lifestyle disorders, diabetes, joint pain, liver problems, infertility, or kidney issues, we have comprehensive solutions. Our product portfolio has expanded from just three products in the beginning to 104 products today.

But it's not just about the products. Diagnosis plays a vital role in our treatment approach. Ayurveda, being the oldest traditional system of medicine, relies on thorough patient assessment. We combine our Ayurvedic expertise with IT and AI knowledge to ensure comprehensive diagnosis. We utilize pulse diagnosis and provide Vedic food diets, psychological counseling, and yoga services. Additionally, we offer e-services, enabling patients worldwide to connect with us through video conferences and avail themselves of our clinic's services. We take pride in delivering our medicines globally within 2 to 4 days. Research and development seem to be crucial to Ayurveda Yogashram's approach.

3. Could you please elaborate on the R&D involved in product manufacturing?

Research and development are at the core of our work. As doctors, not businessmen, we focus on perfecting our formulations through experimentation. We conduct tests at home, refine the formulations, and then diagnose patients, sending them samples for examination. If the results are 95 per cent satisfactory, we further enhance our efforts to achieve 100 per cent success. Throughout this R&D process, we seek government approval to ensure our products are ethically placed in the market. R&D is integral to our work and the continual improvement of our offerings.

4. India, like many countries, faces various health challenges. How does Ayurveda Yogashram contribute to identifying and healing these ailments? What key initiatives and facilities are provided?

Today, the greatest challenge in India, as well as globally, is lifestyle disorders stemming from unhealthy habits. Late wake-up times, disrupted routines, preference for junk food, increased screen time, and mounting stress have led to a rise in diabetes, obesity, heart problems, liver diseases, mental health issues, and more. At Ayurveda Yogashram, we address these concerns comprehensively.

Our approach involves not only Ayurvedic treatments but also yoga, psychological counselling, and awareness about Vedic food diets. We advise our patients against seeking surgical treatments as that falls outside our scope. While we offer remedies for various ailments, we never claim to alter skin fairness, as it is impossible for any medical system. Instead, we emphasize clean and healthy skin, celebrating all skin colours with pride. Our facilities encompass Ayurveda, yoga, psychology, Vedic food awareness, Ayurvedic Saatvik diet plans, and e-services. The e-commerce model seems to play a significant role in Ayurveda Yogashram's growth.

5. Please elaborate on how this aids your plans for the next three years?

Over the past 20 years, we have embraced the e-commerce model through our website, enabling patients worldwide to access our services via video conferences and receive medicines within 2 to 4 days. Initially, it was challenging to imagine ordering medicines online, but we started small and gradually expanded our reach. However, we still emphasize direct consultation with our doctors, especially since our products are not over-the-counter remedies. We provide a holistic experience, from consultation to medicine procurement. Regarding our e-commerce model, we envision 200% growth over the next three years. We aim to provide services on a larger scale, allowing patients to book dates in our calendar for consultations and instant product purchases. Additionally, we aspire to achieve one-day product delivery within the next three months.

6. Looking ahead, what are the future plans for Ayurveda Yogashram, and where do you see its growth?

Our future plans involve expanding our Ayurveda centers. Our main centres are in Gurgaon and Amritsar. Within the next two years, we aim to establish 100 Ayurvedic clinics across India and spread the benefits of Ayurveda, healthy diets, and yoga to more people. With the blessings of the Almighty, we are confident that we will achieve these goals within the next two years.
