Columbia Asia Hospitals Launches #LeaveLifeBehind initiative to encourage organ donation

To spread awareness and encourage people on organ donation, this World Organ Donation day, Columbia Asia Hospitals, Bangalore launches #LeaveLifeBehind initiative. Through this initiative, the hospital aims to spread a positive message on how a person can help save another life by pledging their organs. The campaign which is being launched across all the units in the city and via social media, encourages people to register themselves as donors. Columbia Asia will also be further promoting the cause by sharing the stories of the recipients, who are now leading a normal life because of the righteous act done by a donor.

In India, less than 0.5 million people donate the organs, the rest population is still unaware of this noble act that can save another life. Other than this, due to the pandemic there has been 30% decrease in organ donation cases. But this can be resolved if people generously volunteer for organ donation.
