Health Is Cohesion Between Body, Mind, Soul

My definition of health encompasses harmony and cohesion between the body, mind, and soul. I have consciously put body first as it is the most obvious manifestation of our being. The body, mind and soul work as an eco-system interconnecting energy, matter and senses. We connect our body, mind and soul to keep the energy flowing within us. This energy flow can be abundant or restricted; depending on our 'state of being' in each moment and it changes constantly and is influenced by our conscious action and thoughts.  We can achieve True wellness when these are in balance and harmony.

The way in which you treat your body can have a profound impact on your body, mind and soul balance and ultimately on your health. The body has its own natural rhythms that are designed to uphold its state of balance. This includes the natural cycles of sleep, diet and exercise. Postural alignment, a well rounded functional training based approach can help anyone achieve a pain-free body which is a stepping stone to achieving the harmony between Body, Mind & Soul.

In order to balance the body, mind and soul, we need to focus on the mind and work on what it needs to have a positive influence on our state of being. Messages are sent from the body and the soul and received and interpreted by the mind. Therefore, the mind is the filtering mechanism between the body and the soul. As we progress and release the illusions we live by, our mind becomes a clearer and more finely tuned filter, which brings us closer to becoming who we really are. To complete this process of balance, we need to focus on the soul, and what it needs to be able to have a positive influence on our state of being. This balance is a fundamental step in achieving true wellness and health.

In my opinion, Universal access to quality healthcare is a right and the true measure worth of a country can only be measured by how much has been done to achieve that. I understand the population of our country makes it a very challenging task but we have to strive towards it relentlessly. The government needs not only to increase the allocation to the Healthcare in the Union budget but also it's practical spending, while 1.2% of the GDP was allocated less than 0.3% was spent, we need to invest heavily in public health to give the poorer sections of society better access to quality healthcare. The existing facilities need to be upgraded, expanded and cleaned. We cannot hope to impart health care from unhygienic facilities, the infrastructure in the country has not kept up with the population, it needs to brought on par with the increased demand on a war footing.

My advice to you would be to inform yourself about adopting a healthy lifestyle and listen to your body. Don't ignore danger signs, get regular checkups and remember that this is the only body you are going to have in this lifetime, and it needs to be looked after, 'maintained' in a holistic manner balancing function and aesthetics in equal measure as the path to true health and wellbeing.
