Yasmin Karachiwala, YKBI (Yasmin Karachiwala Body Image) Founder, Director and Celebrity Master Pilates Instructor is one such name who is giving much to the industry.
While speaking at the second edition of the BW Businessworld - Festival of Wellbeing, Yasmin said that fitness is not about setting short-term goals rather it is about inculcating good habits into a lifestyle.
For the people who start their fitness journey and go back to commence their fitness routine, Yasmin said, “I tell people less is more”. She suggested that 10 minutes is enough for the people who recently started working out.
She also mentioned the film industry actresses Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone, who are also fitness enthusiasts, and Yasmin told them that they do not work out just for a certain role rather working out is a part of their daily life.
Yasmin also said that consistency is the key to a fit body and life. While describing the deeper term of exercise, Yasmin elaborated on the importance of breathing while doing movement in the gym.
She added, “If people pay attention to the breath with the movement is called mindfulness.” Emphasising the crucial role of exercise in her own life, she said that yoga is her meditation and I breathe through her workout.
Lastly, she said, “If you do what you love to do in terms of physical fitness it becomes a way of life and that is gonna become consistency.”
Yasmin also touched upon the real definition of the term diet which does not mean eliminating elements but rather balancing out the food without subtraction the happiness quotient.
