ISKCON Centre complex in Delhi’s Dwarka has a new set of benefactors – none less than members of India Inc. This five-floor centre will host activities such as mega kitchen to feed milions in the vicinity, counselling centre providing value guidance to stay happy and a anti addiction centre providing free youth hostel and meals, value training with modern infrastructure and facilities to name the few.
What is noteworthy is that this work in progress centre had distributed more than 3 crore meals during COVID pandemic and also served the society by starting a 24x7 multi language counselling helpline which helped thousands of the people suffering from anxieties, depression and various mental health conditions during the pandemic.
The centre tentatively set to take 4 years to complete, now has the help of companies like KEI, the Adani Group of companies, Bada Business, Haldirams and Jindal Poly – who have lent Iskcon assistance to complete the prestigious project. This means, in addition to all the physical and financial help which is flowing from various parts of the country, the spiritual organisation is now getting financial aid from the said corporate groups to erect the structure in Dwarka.
This centre is a form of philanthropic public projects that empowers the needy and helps in community in getting nutrition for body and mind. Many Indian companies have actively participated in the construction of ISKCON Dwarka temple complex for more than two years.
