Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre were the medical partners at the HSBC Bombay Gymkhana 10k Run held on March 3, 2024. The event featured a 10km and 3km run marking the beginning of Bombay Gymkhana's 150th-year celebration and is also the first Run organized by Bombay Gymkhana. Jaslok Hospital brings a wealth of experience and expertise in providing medical support for large-scale events, and their presence enhanced the safety and medical preparedness of the Run. The flag off was graced by former head coach of the India national cricket team & Indian Cricketer Mr. Ravi Shastri, Mr. Sandeep Batra, Managing Director & Head of Wealth and Personal Banking India, HSBC and Mr Sanjeev Saran Mehra, President of Bombay Gymkhana.
The Run, featuring 3km and 10km races, attracted nearly 2000 participants. In line with Jaslok Hospital's commitment to promoting organ donation, 11 runners from the hospital participated with the intent to create awareness about organ donation among the participants and spectators. Dr Shruti Tandan, Consultant Critical Care also gave an enlightening speech debunking about the myths of Organ Donation. Jaslok Hospital has been at the forefront of promoting organ donation for the past 3 decades, and even last year 15 per cent of organ donations in Mumbai occurred at the hospital. Jaslok Hospital is passionate about organ donation and believes in the life-saving impact it can have.
