MindPeer’s Tool Cogni-Art Shows Improvement In Executive Skills

MindPeers advocates for art as a productivity enhancer in the workplace

CogniArt is an innovative digital therapeutic tool developed by MindPeers, designed to integrate art into the therapeutic process. This unique art journaling tool enables individuals to express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences through visual art, promoting mental well-being and emotional processing. CogniArt bridges the gap between traditional talk therapy and creative self-expression, making mental health care more accessible and engaging.

Clinical findings: A recent study conducted by MindPeers analysed 708 art submissions from users and reported increased competence and confidence in their ability to create visual art after participating in six art sessions. The findings indicated significant improvements in attention control, organization, and cognitive flexibility—critical components of executive functioning. Additionally, total scores showed a decrease in impulsivity, supporting the theory that frequent art-making improves motor abilities. Average scores for motor functioning increased, further validating the positive impact of regular art practice.

How does it work? CogniArt provides prompts to users to sketch specific subjects using the in-app tools. Users can incorporate colors, images, and even music to enhance their drawings. Upon submission, in-app therapists analyze the drawings and provide feedback based on motor skills, attention span, and planning abilities. MindPeers recommends regular use of the CogniArt feature to enhance overall decision-making skills.

Unique features of MindPeers: MindPeers is the only app in the country offering these diverse features to support users in their mental well-being journey on the go. Regular use of these features allows users to develop essential skill sets and gain insights into their mental state, including cognitive skills. MindPeers collaborates with a network of counselors and therapists, integrating neuroscience into the data to tailor the technology to users' requirements. Additionally, it connects with other apps, such as step counters and period trackers, to provide comprehensive support.
