Ritika Jayaswal - Founder & CEO - Nourish Mantra
After working in the family business Jayaswal NECO Group, Ritika decided to venture on her own. She went to Parsons School of Design and started working in the fashion and beauty industry in New York. Over time the fast-paced life of New York took a toll on her, and she started looking for ways to combat the quick shrill of everyday life; she needed peace. Trading back to the Indian roots, she started practicing Vipassana.
During the practice, an epiphany dawned upon her - outward beauty is a direct reflection of the inner self. She realized that when you feel good, you look good. She decided to bring simple remedies that cater to the nuances of our current lifestyle with a hum of pure ingredients and concoctions that have been tested over centuries. Research began, and after 500 days, she launched Nourish Mantra. Today, Nourish Mantra has distribution in 6 countries and stands with four values: Natural, Effective, Holistic, and Conscious. Ritika spreads awareness about the less-talked subject ‘Mental Health’ and has pledged to donate 1% of profits to this cause. Her vision is to build a world where beauty isn’t the source of happiness, but happiness is the source of beauty and to simplify the age-old Indian beauty and wellness philosophies in collaboration with modern science. Following the footsteps of her grandfather who has been very active with CSR efforts throughout his life, she sees herself running a business that values sustainability and gives back to the community.
