The upcoming Dr. Batra’s Positive Health Awards presented by Bajaj, aims to reward those who have disabilities and yet give back to society unconditionally

Padma Shri awardee Dr. Mukesh Batra is the founder of Dr Batra's group of companies, a chain of homeopathy clinics in 6 countries and an FMCG brand. He is also the author of books on homeopathy, and writer of health columns in various publications. At Dr. Batra’s Positive Health Award’s 16th edition presented by Bajaj, this year's theme is ‘Celebrating the triumph of the human spirit’.

Dr Batra’s Positive Health Awards is the first-of-its-kind event in India. It was instituted to honour people who have fought and recovered from severe debilitating diseases and disabilities with positivity and strength and are giving back to society. This much awaited event will take place at Tata Theatre, Nariman Point, Mumbai, on the 20th of November, 2024. The Master of Ceremonies is Ms. Mandira Bedi, a popular Indian actress, fashion designer, and television presenter. Various celebrities and award winners will be present at this prestigious event, which mainly aims to celebrate the power of positivity. 

The event will also be an inspiration for all those who believe in themselves and how positivity is key to success. This forum will commemorate the unwavering spirit of individuals who have overcome several adversities and are an inspiration for millions of people who can be able to change certain circumstances and emerge victorious by serving mankind, whilst having disabilities.

Over the years Dr Batra’s Positive Health Awards were awarded to Deepa Malik, who is a Paralympic champion, Arunima Sinha – a double amputee who climbed Mt. Everest, Laxmi Agarwal – an acid victim and General Ian Cardozo – whose leg got cut off during war.  They exemplified what it takes to transform humans into heroes.  After receiving the Dr Batra’s Positive Health Award, Arunima and Deepa went on to receive the Padma Shri Award, Laxmi, walked the ramp at the London Fashion Week, followed by her story being told in a movie enacted by Deepika Padukone.

Some of the celebrities who have supported the awards previously with their presence and good wishes have been Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachhan, Aishwarya Rai Bachhan, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Saif Ali Khan, Abhay Deol, Sanjay Dutt and M. S. Dhoni, amongst many others.
