Obviously, this significant choice you make needs to be made with careful thought & deliberation. Often a Guru comes from the family of the Guru or the Guru followed by the family. In this case, you simply follow. However, often we are not happy with our family choices, so we need to search for a new guru.
The most important criteria in your search should be 3 factors :
* What He says
* How he says
* How he looks
A combination of these 3 factors will make you inclined to a Guru. A Guru must make you feel happy, positive, calm, peaceful, & confident. If you find such a person, then adopt him, & adapt to him.
Often, we don’t find such a person, In that case, you have to be your own Guru. It is better than having doubts about your chosen Guru. Now, determine your path life with understanding, care, & common sense.
If you have a Guru, pay your respects on this day by wishing him & if possible, offering Guru Dakshina. This tradition deepens the guru-disciple relationship.
A Guru is your choice, make it wise!
