The UN report on International Drug Abuse Day revealed, globally, drug use disorders affect some 35 million people approximately, who require treatment services. In 2017, 5.5 per cent of the global population that is estimated at 271 million people approximately, aged between 15-64 years had used drugs in the previous year.
