Time To Get Back Closer To Nature – Acharya Balakrishna

On the importance of health in our lives, Balakrishnan said, “We are unhealthy and that’s why our motherland is unhealthy, and we should strive hard to remain healthy, not only physically fit but also mentally fit”.

Also, recognizing the value of nature to stay healthy, Acharya said that although people living in the city are having proper and timely meals, it’s the villagers irrespective of having poor diets have better haemoglobin levels. He further said that although villages lack healthcare services, they still are far healthier than people living in cities and the reason he cited for better health of villagers was nature.

Further, Acharya believes that whether we accept our fate happily or make a comprise, we must go back to our origins for better physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Balakrishnan on the dearth of usage of food grains apart from wheat and rice said, “We have completely forgotten nutritious food grains like Bajra, Mandhua, Ragi etc., from our meals and in order to bring it back in our diets, Patanjali launched Navratana flour which has the goodness of 9 different food grains”.
